probably not too many people on here that use A217 too much (but may be near if you go Box Hill, Newlands Corner, M25 around Surrey, but heard from a polis today that they're out on bikes in Banstead/Tadworth/Redhill/Reigate area for the next 3 months, targetting speeders, light jumpers and non seat belters, sooo if you're about watch out for em (n obviously don't forget to put your seat belt on when riding your bike!!)

bear 1300cc Superstar Joined: Friday, October 29, 2004 Posts: 5790 Location: cumbria United Kingdom	The police often "leak" their intentions to have a blitz on driver behaiviour.In cumbria they tell the local TV company and they do an article on their news programme. We have just been told the Cumbria police will be using mobile speed checking units for instance. The idea is that if folk know they could be out there this will actually reduce the number of drivers that will speed or whatever without any real cost to policing. The reality is they have a finite number of coppers to do a particular job but tell joe public there is gonna be a blitz and there is usually an automatic drop in offending . i seem to remember that plod said they had bought a new pursuit vehicle and it would be patroling a particular section of the M6 in cumbria...... the number of speeding offences on the section they mentioned dropped dramatically as folk would see the car and slow down etc....... the public were not aware that the car was actually a fake though (until they got close to it and had a look) it was actually a cardboard cut out . it looked real enough from a distance apparently. Now of course they actually dont give a monkeys and let the cameras do the work on the M6 as they raise vast amounts of revenue of which the police get a slice of the action for their budgets

I slow tailed it outta there. I no mind either way be careful if you wanna, don't if you don't. xx
