yeah right he obviously didn't do a great job If you're going for an insurance claim should make sure the whole place burns down.

Firefighters are working to save a fire-damaged building in central London's Oxford Street, amid fears that it may collapse. The fire, which started above the New Look store on Thursday evening, was extinguished on Friday. Firefighters are putting up scaffolding to stabilise the building, as 25 nearby shops remain shut. The cause of the fire is unknown. A quarter-mile area between Oxford Circus and Wells Street was closed to traffic. About 150 firefighters fought to bring the blaze under control throughout Thursday night, stopping it from spreading to other buildings. There were no reports of injuries but nearby buildings were evacuated.

Not yet, thank fuk its not one of the buildings we do fire detection in. Regs state a 25% test every 3 months, we do a 100% test every 3 months. That way we don't miss any problems. I think Alan Sugar would get very peeved if one of his building did that. I forgot to put a system on test in Old Bond Street a few yrs ago so when i hit the evacuation button it signalled out, 5 fire engines were there in 4 mins!!!! D & G had to evacuate their shop and a red faced engineer sloped off to sulk.....................

How about the bank i was doing an alarm service on then. New panel to me, so entered engineering. Started walk testing the detectors. So far so good! Pressed a panic button, oh shite all hell let loose. Turns out ( Now i am an expert on these babies btw) All PA and ATM (cash machines) are "live" even when in engineering. Loads of armed police turned up, i was trying to stand down the signals with my passwords but you cannot stop a PA or a fire signal after its gone! Laugh, i did the office didnt. pmsl

I "got away" with a written warning. Was in another bank last week, they don't let you work "alone" now your followed everywhere. Even stand outside the bog!!!!! And this time it was to link up the fire detection systems. Alan Sugar strikes again, he even rents out buildings to banks!!!!!!
