Do you guys get it on the roads over there , when they do the roads up .
over here if you dont wash your bike after going thro it , itll eat your paint , chrome and everything else it gets on , makes you keep the bike clean tho. LOL
Just wondered if they put it on the roads , on the other side of the planet ,

Hi sav, no i dont think we see lime on the roads, for us the big nasty one is salt !!! Rock salt/grit sprayed on the road during icey conditions, gets into everything and after only a few miles your bike can look a mess, very corrosive too, nasty stuff.

AFAIK the only people who use lime now are bricklayers. Even then only for fine coloured pointing. But i may be wrong.
Lime has never been used on our roads to my knowledge. As mentioned its rock salt thats the cause of severe pitting. Used to wash bike everyday in the winter when despatch riding, handy having a jet washer!!

well the buggers use it here all the time for the roads its put into the tarseal on the top layer , for sum frikin strange reason lol
