It's the million dollar question.
I was talking about this with some friends last night, the conclusion that we all reached was (and I'll probably get slated AGAIN for this, but nevertheless) it depends how deep/spiritual you are as a person.
Some people are interested to find their purpose and what makes people tick, and others are happy at the now in their life. The ones who are always asking questions want something better than they've got (which doesn't necessarily mean that they haven't got a life already lol) and the ones who don't are content and do not feel the need to explore, although later in life they're more likely to have a mid-life crisis because they think they've missed out on something pmsl
It also depends on what sort of childhood you've had, but that's a different story.

I gave up taking life seriously[and anything else really] when I realised that it was all futile. I mean, what is the point of taking stuff seriously when there is a total headcase in charge of the biggest militery power on earth who quite cheerfully goes to war with any country he feels like just because 'he' feels their leaders policies are wrong. ffs.... no way am I going to worry about stuff when we could be vapourised just like THAT at any time.
