had that prob on my way home from work today, messy little git spread his innards on my visor, from the remains it looked like either a wasp or a bee. spent the rest of the way home trying to look through it lol

hitting a big bumblebee at speed can give you a right knock even through leathers

had the wasp thing last summer when one managed to wedge itself between my head and the helmet stung my a few times in the temple..(oh yes it did hurt.) only other stinging incident was when riding along and a bee managed to hit the top of my visor and somehow manage to be flipped down the back of my neck. the bee did its one sting but through my Tshirt (under my jacket) the stinger then proceded to zap me every time i moved. when i finally got home i had been stung 15 times all in a small area (and they bloody hurt a lot worse than the wasp sting did too).

Bear, sounds horrible. I hate riding with visor down in summer (or now spring with hot weather its necessary). Funny enough my wife bought a lovely little device. it looks like a tennis racket but it carries an electrical charge and zaps all flying insects at high voltage, cost €5, runs on 2 aa batteries!. pity noone cant adapt the design for a visor . Personally I've never been stung have had bees in helmet and managed to get off road quickly but by doing so could probably have killed myself in the panic!

that was my problem pat ........... I couldn't just let the bugger sting me so i was all over the place ducking and diving until i got the bike stopped. then it was run round the side of the road like a headless chicken until i got my helmet off and the said nasty bugger away from me lol oh and this all happened when i had no bike control cos it was only about my 3rd bike lesson lol everyone else that was there thought i was a lunatic. mind u they mightbe right but thats a different story.

I've decided I big windscreen is my next purchase for the Harley.......
