i saw on the news this morning about hrt making u more at risk of developing ovarian cancer. this puts the fear into most women that are at that stage in their lives. what do u ladies think? should u risk it ?(statisics say that no hrt u have 2.2% chance of developing it and on hrt u have 2.6% chance) or put up with the awful sweats and hot flushes? this is prob a strange post but i have been discussing it with colleuges at work as many of them are at that stage in their lives. i am just interested in your opinion on the subject

well there doesn't seem that much difference in the risk so if i needed it i would probably take it altho it depends if it gives u a beard and makes u grow balls!! lol

It's hard to say having not experienced these hot flushes etc etc. I have to say I'd be trying the natural remedies before I went with chemicals. I've already had to go onto epilepsy meds so would be anxious to keep the chemical levels down as much as possible.

My mum has been on HRT for in excess of 20 years....everytime she tries to come off them, she gets the hot flushes again. Seems to me that they just delay the inevitable

having had the girly op last year i was put on HRT and it has been the best thing since sliced bread, until you actually experience them flushes etc it is hard to say what risks you would take to stop them, i now sleep well at night and i am not half as bad tempered as i used to be, oh and i havent grown any balls yet, moustache is a bugger to shave though and the hairy chest is a bit off putting

I was put on HRT about 19 years ago and so far the balls and the other funny wee thing have not grown, the beard and tash were a bugger to start with but now I've got used to em and will be shortly buying myself a BMW and a pipe. the hairy chest only shows when I wear low cut dresses.
