oh Pooh!!!!! But Yaaay at the same time!!!
I'm about to the limit on my finances but I worked it out with a pencil and paper and a calculator and my bank statement and some courage.......and I am signing up for a new bike tomorrow - the deposit is down at 10am!
Kawasaki GPZ500S, dark blue. It has a top box and I'm not sure whether to keep that. They look a bit naff although this one is a modern one. It would be handy if I use it to go to work on.
Yaaaaaaaaay. Oh by the way, any good insurance tips, best so far is bennetts, far cheaper than AA Norwich Union H&R Motorcycle direct............any more?

i got one of those recently ton...they are alright, in fact, a good laugh. i paid 13.98 to increase my insurance to allow me to ride the 900 and the 500. Ebike insurance.
getting about 50 miles to the gallon, which is dissapointing really i thought it would be nearer 60 mpg. loads of cheap spares for em tho cos they have been making em for years. only really expensive item iv see is the exhaust (a new one from motad nexxus will set you back over 300 quid. and seeing as i only paid 320 quid for the bike i wont be buying a new pipe anytime soon lol).as for the top box they are handy for lugging stuff about in and if you have a givi set up you can easily remove the box when you dont need it on. i just paid 6.48 for a full givi monorack system for mine (ebay ) so i will be putting the topbox from the 900 on to the 500 as the little gee pee zee is gonna be a commuter/badweather/winter hack/local trips etc, so a top box will come in handy.
They handle pretty well and can apparently do about 120 mph the 16 inch front wheel took a bit of getting used to as i wasnt prepared for the really quick steering that a small front wheel produces. if you need any parts (consumables filters, cables etc i recomend wemoto.com)

bennets are brilliant for me too matey
keep the top box carrier on tho mate it may come in handy
just chuck the box in a cupboard or garage until you need it. i do
happy biking mate

just renewed my insurance with same company ive bin wiv for ages, Equity Red Star, fully comp on CBF600 = £131.00, everyone else was quoting £180+
