I need to change the odometer reading on my '98 R1 from miles to kilometers.....
And i dont know how!!!
I have the manual, it tells me how to change the speed reading from MPH to KPH, but not how to change the odometer.
Anybody know how to do this, or if you know somebody that knows how to do this, please let me know.

i dont think it will change it mate, ive got the y2k r6 and you can change the speedo reading on that but im pretty sure that you cant change the odometer reading mate, i think that is fixed at the factory for its designated market, other option is look on ebay and try to find some clocks from a km market bike with roughly the same reading?
......mmmmmmmmmmmmmm R1.............................so so so so tempting....lol

gaffa tape a calculator next to ya odometer
het presto miles and klicks at the touch of a button
(and you can work out how much you can spend on pies at the garage)

Update:
Managed to get it changed to Km.
Had to strip the instrument panel, and remove a resistor from the pc board, and voila! Bike reads in Km!
