Yeah ive had a good day ...
First i went on my local Easter Egg Run ...
Plenty of bikes as the weather was fine ...
After that had finnishe di had a chugg around East Kent ...
Popped down into Dover and then Folkestone ...
Done 99 miles all in all and hopefully made some kids happy with the eggs!
On the way home i stopped coz there was a guy with an old BMW
Which he was pushing (an R100 i think it was)
He was flutered and out of breath but said he was almost home ...
"s'ok mate i only live down the roasd there but thanks for stopping"
were his words ... So anyway i road home with a good feeling ...
well better than the biker who flew straight past anyway!
Now im cooking summit to eat :o)
Hope everyone else had a good day :o)

What's happened to the "nod" and stop to help brigade?
Too many people with heads stuck up orifices I think.
Cheers

I had a bloke in a BMW car stop and give me a lift to a petrol station about 10 years ago when i bloody run outta petrol after midnight about 6 miles from home on my old ZZR600 ... Then when i was just about to set off again after putting the petrol in an articulated lorry slowed and checked that i was ok!

i always when possible stop and see if i can help, normally its just a rider pulled over for a fag but ya never know eh?

i ran out of petrol on my way home from work a few years back, i was in the middle of no where.. some bloke stopped and asked if i was ok, told him abut petrol, off he went to the nearest garage and came back with some, made sure i was on my way and off he went. wouldn't exept payment for petrol either. nice chap
there are some really nice people out there.

I had a nice ride yesterday.... took a ride over to EYE near Peterborough from my home in Leicester, made a nice round trip of 100 miles. I'm running in my new toy, got almost 500 miles on it now so its nearly there. lots of bikes of all sorts out on the road and at EYE.
Hi to the guy on the Yamaha MT01 is it? big V twin anyway..... who blasted past just past Peterborough and waved....
.........................................
I'll always slow down and give the thumbs up and down to see if the guy/girl needs help. most times I get the thumbs up and a wave and carry on my way but over the years I've had someone give me the 'HELP... I'm in trouble look' so I always stop. Couple times its been petrol so a lift to the nearest filling station and back has got em on their way. one time a lad just needed my mobile phone to get his dad out to help him and one time a lady with a very dead little Vespa scooter stood there looking lost and alone on a country road late one Friday night was very relieved to get a lift home [with her scooter in the back of my tranny van] it gives you a nice feeling afterwards when they say 'thanks mate' and it costs little or nothing to help another human being out [esp if its another biker.]
