I'm sat here waiting for the police to turn up and fingerprint my pride and joy after some toe-rag tried to steal it last night.... they couldnt get past my disc locks, but have damaged my disc rotor in the process and snapped my steering lock... does anyone know the rough price i'm looking at for getting repaired? as i dont really want to claim on insurance as it is high enough as it is... :-( its a CBR600RR 03-04. I can post pics of damge if it would help? I cant move the bike as the damage to the rotor will tear through my disc pads,so i will have to take it off. cheers gemma

Hey really sorry to hear that chick...hope they get the thieveing buggers!!.... Okay your disc rotor can vary in price, now i know if you want to spangle your bike up a bit there are places online who are doing full disc and pad kits, I.E 2 front and rear Braking wavey discs plus pads for a lil under 3 hundred. is there any other damage to it than that hun? isit still rideable.... a really good website for oem and patent parts, for all bikes is www.bikebandit.com If you copy and paste this i think it is the part you would need to be looking for for your steering lock: http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandit.com/partsbandit/oem_schematic_view~schem_dept_id~1303861~section_dept_id~1~section_dept_name~OEM+%28Stock%29+Parts~dept_type_id~2~model_dept_year~2003~model_dept_mfr~Honda~model_dept_id~1303782~model_dept_name~CBR600RR.asp Ive had a few parts off them for my R6 and was nearly half the price for the same official yamaha part from there, even with all the postage and taxes added i still saved 60 quid, only downside is that you need a creit card to order from them but they are great ive hadd all my stuff from them within 2 weeks. They are really good there all the prices are in us dollars but there are plenty of converters on the web you can use hope this helps.
