picked up the gpz 500 last night, its a bit small and hence i wobbled off up the road due to not being able to get my feet on the pegs easily. once id got myself seated right all was well. What a hoot this wee thing is really easy to hustle it throught the bends nips up to the ton fairly easily ( though runs out of steam after it gets there) looks like a wreck but it all works just fine, the 16 inch front wheel is gonna take some getting used to though. plus i'll be getting near 60mpg riding normally so thats a bonus. The 900 is having a well earned rest and refit so the 500 will be the daily transport for a while..... once the 900 is back on the road the 500 will get a spray job (matt black as i happen to have a few tins of it knocking about in the shed, and im getting some pinstriping brushes so will use the 500 as a practise piece. saving up for another cheap bike now , have heard of a CB900 going for less than 400 quid, will need to be MOT'd ect but at that kinda price i should be able to make a profit on it easy enough....

Good luck with the gpz. They are a nice light wee bike and it shouldnt give trouble.
As for the 16 front,I wouldnt worry about it one bit.Ya soon get used to it.
Dont paint it matt black though!A nice little spot of ford radiant red would look much better on it,stick with the original gpz colors.

nahhh it will be matt black for the time being to paint it in proper colours would be pointless as id then have to make the rest of it look good as well.
gonna take it for a blast this aft around the back roads to get used to it and see how it copes with corney fell and some other choice twisties....
