is it with you people ?
you moan about people not using the chat rooms, is it any wonder !
everytime you check the threads some poor sod has made a complete arse of him/ herself, then the baying hounds start their attack !!!!!!!!
I've been in the chat room a couple of times and wouldnt thank you for the "conversation"
Is this a site for people with an interest in motorbikes and everything biking ?
or a lonely hearts club?
Bike site !!!!!!!!! Very little bike talk from my exprience...........

im sorry you feel that way vfor, but as most of our members have been around here a long time and frequent the chatroom, talking about bikes and only bikes is not really that fun!
when a new person comes in, or someone has something specific to say about bikes then we're all ready to listen and say what we think, but talking constantly about one partcular topic, no matter how much you love it, always eventually wears thin!
perhaps you should come back in again and give us another go, but if your so against it, then why come back?

regulars on this site are like family(almost lol). families fight and argue, but in the end still get along (with the exception of a few..)
so lighten up a little, take the good with the bad, the rest of us do.

If you want to talk bikes do so, no ones stopping you.
Thing is is it a chatroom for talking about bikes or a chatroom where bikers go to chat?
Also....is it a case of some folk getting cabin fever? stuck in the house cos of winter or whatever i know that as the days are getting longer i will be spending less time in chatrooms and more time out riding my bike. I dont often feel the need to discuss my bike or the ride i have just been on cos to be honest it isnt all that easy to put into words, i mean i could bang on about various mountain passes and all manner of deserted backroads that are a bikers dream but they wont mean much to folk who have never been to cumbria. Also if i talk about various jobs that are being done on my bike or one that im sorting out for someone else its just not going to be of interest to the majority of folk.
I cant bring myself to write about rallies or shows either, they have to be experienced really, a second hand account may or may not make you want to try an event, and if i have a crap time(or vice versa) at an event it dosnt mean that anyone else would!
But on that note i will say about rallies that as a rule there are fewer and fewer young people going to em maybe thats just me not seeing them, but apart from last year at the iron ore rally i cant remember seeing any L plates at rallies or events for a long time. does this mean bikers are a dying breed? Without the youth getting into bikes and the social life that goes with them what future has biking got. eventually we will all become to old to ride bikes (although then it will be trike time for me lol), shouldnt we encourage the next generation of bikers, is it too much of an effort to be welcoming to new folk?just cos they dont have a bike right now doesnt mean they wont get one in the future.

at the risk of repeating myself i have to agree with both loz and bear, i like to chat bikes, rallies, moto gp, etc etc, but not constantly, not only that SORRY ROE but this isnt the only biker site i visit as with many folk you are free to come and go as you please, if you like what you see then spread the word come back and have fun, if you dont then stay away.

i agree with loz and bear too, we come into the chat room to have a laugh and if someone needs help with sorting out a bike, then we all try to help. for me its great as im still learning how to maintain a bike and have had some really good advice from those who know what they are doing.
try us again hun, u will not be dissapointed. we are here to support each other too and i have made some really sound friends here and u will too id u stick around

like they all say - we're like a family, we're all humans, sometimes sh** happens to humans and if they can't go to their mates, then who can they go to? the fact that they're online shouldn't make a difference. people on here have seen me through some really really rough times and still had a laugh.
Ya don't like it - don't come here. no need to be negative, vote with your feet.

have to say I've had a lot of chat on bikes, not all the time, it would get a bit "anoraky". Actually Martin and I spent a lot of time coaching a new rider a few days ago. As for other talk, life isnt that simple, sometimes people need to let off some steam, or look for a little support.

"Thanks pal- refreshing to hear. Why do chat rooms always attract peeps feeling sorry for themselves?"
People use chat rooms/forums as a form of escape and to make new friends, if you don't like the threads don't reply.
