if somehow sugar has found its way into your tank you will need to flush it all out and leave the tank to dry before putting petrol back in. sugar in engines isnt good!

Don't think is was intentional, dizzy. Anyway, I watched guys run an engine for quite a while, after having put sugar in the engine. The engine did not fail. Best to get as much out as possible to be on the safe side, but I don't think a little bit left over will do much harm.

Sugar won't harm the tank ... but ... it can clog up your carb, and if you have a quality fuel filter it will clog that up too. As for the engine... it depends on how much sugar there is. Put some sugar in an empty pot and heat it on the stove. watch it melt and turn black, and when it is burnt makes a real mess to clean. Your engine parts get hotter than that pot. Like said by Bear, "flush it all out", is great advice.

i know someone who had this very thing done to them, however there was sand put in it to so not sure if thats worse or not. anyway that was a "revenge" thing and all it managed to do was cost him a nice few quid to get fixed and a whole heap of shit.

sand in an engine will have catastrophic results........ sugar in petrol is nasty and will also cause major problems. stick to cutting his/her clothes up and chucking him/her out. better to sell the bike for a quid in revenge also. cos someone gets a bargain rather than putting someones life at risk.
