I not looking for any replies to this, in fact, I would discourage replies if it will cause hostility. This is just my view on the matter at hand. This is also not directed at anybody in particular (hence the new thread).
First I have to congratulate Mark on being so patient and keeping the site going. There are a lot of us on here that would miss having this site around, as we come here to relax and have a laugh. Having said that, it is really frustrating and annoying when some people choose to use the site as their own personal boxing ring.
Personally, I think the threat of being banned is a good measure, provided it is enforced. Now before people start jumping up and down about free speech, if you cannot be considerate of the other users on the site, then then moderators should not have to be considerate towards you. End of story.
You know the rules, you know the punishment. If you go ahead and do it anyway, then you have asked for trouble, and no, it is not moderators picking on users, it is moderators enforcing the law of the site. You don't argue with the police, so don't argue with the moderators.
If the site loses a few members because of these views, then so be it. If you take offense to these views then you're probably not worth having around anyway.
Do unto others and all that. Respect the other users on the site, and moderators will respect you.
Just so you know, I'm not criticizing the way Mark runs the site, as I've said before, he's done a great job. I'm just voicing my opinion that Mark should not be scared to be more forceful with the users that are out of line, and the users of the site should respect the rules.
Rant Over.

As the owners and "mods" as you put it have had their say putting up another thread about the subject seems a bit pointless. In fact its prolonging the matter.

"Now before people start jumping up and down about free speech"
rights and responsibilities... for every right, there is a responsibility
your right is freedom of speech, your responsibility is to respect other peoples opinions, and not make fun of, or in any other way discruminate against people, either for what they have or havent said or done,
