Well the well known nazi Ken Livingstone has done it again. he`s extended the congestion charge. Everyone is saying how well it went the traffic was ever so light and it was easier to get to work.
Well thats the same as when he introduced it the 1st time round ON THE START OF THE CHILDREN'S HALF TERM, of course the traffic is lighter there isnt 3000 000 scrummies on the fekking road (scrummies school run mummies). So there is lighter traffic, the red conniving bastid wants shooting, whoever voted for him must have forgotten the battles and shite he caused in county hall and the Greater London Council, the strikes, unpaid wages and unlawful sackings.
You might all be laughing at London, wait till its introduced near you. Along with pay as you go motoring and the weigh of your bins checked so they can add another tax to your council tax. This government is a total disgrace and before anyone pipes up
with a funny comment i never voted for the scumbags in the first place.

I totaly and utterly agree with ya ox ........ its bang out of order. And don't even get me started on the council tax, it pisses me off so much. The poll tax was sooooooo much fairer. Y should I pay more in council tax than some others do when I get exactly the same service for my money. it stinks it is sooooooo out of order! what gets to me the most is most of the people that went off on one about the poll tax were people who were claiming benifits so they wouldn't have paid it anyway!!!!! arrrgggghhhhhhh it stinks to high heaven u work your nuts off to get nicer things and they tax the hell out of ya for the priveledge .......... people who earn more pay more in taxes in the first place so if u earn more u get stuffed all ways round! IOM is so much fairer 5% income tax across the board people that earn more will stay pay more but at least its a fair way of doing it.
sorry i went a little bit of topic there but its this bloody country and its need to tax the hell out of us on everything ....... they will charge us for the air we breath next ...... it really pisses me off we just get our legs lifted left right and centre and it has to stop!!!!

your spot on ox mate, is ridiculous!! i heard that rhey werer on about starting it in other citys too. which is gunna suck, thing is how long will it be before they try charging it to bikes aswell?
is crazy when i was out in canada visitng freinds, they werer complaing that they are paying nearly a dollar a liter, which is about 40p!!!!!!!!.....we get screwed big style on tax....keep ranting ox, go rant at his door mate!

ohhhhh another one i have just thought of .......... inheritance tax!!!! wtf is that all about?? that money has already been taxed by the goverment when whoever earnt it so why does the goverment get another bite at the cherry?

i agree wi inheritance tax tho,u work hard to leave ure kids,then it gets taxed again....only if over 140,000 each tho....but still wrong....trouble is we cant do nought,,unless we refuse to pay.they canna jail us all..so whos 1st?

As i may have stated here before a E-petition does not have to be looked at by MP`s or others, they are more than likely binned.
The only real way to get things noticed is to write to your local MP`s as all letters have to be read and replied to, even better send them by registered mail, this will cause a back log of mail and cause the MP`s to have to address the situation.

Well, you are wrong. This type of thing is all about getting people talking about things, media coverage and forcing the government to take notice. These new petitions are just one of many ways to make your opinion known rather than just moaning between a small group of people you happen to know.
This petition has been all over the press and tv creating awareness as it has had 1.6million signatures so far. With 1.6million people objecting to it the government will be taking notice.

i agree the congestion charge is wrong... you know what to do about it though dont ya all you londeners.
as for the poll tax being so much fairer than council tax and that the bulk of folk protesting about poll tax being on benefits and as such wouldnt have to pay em..... WRONG. if you were on benefits you did have to pay the poll tax! hence the poll tax riots in london and other cities. I was on benefits at the time and can assure you i had to pay the poll tax.
oh and one other point. dont blame the government for the congestion charge as ken livingstone (it was kens idea after all) was expelled from the labour party prior to him being elected ( though im unsure wether he is back in now he was and is an unpopular figure within the labour party).
I do agree that inheritence tax is wrong, there is something insidious about taxing someone after they have kicked the bucket specially when you consider that they will have paid tax on their earnings and investments while they were alive. dosnt seem right to tax em after they are dead. perhaps an increase in the threashold would be appropriate from the 260,000 quid it is now up to say 750,000.
the isle of man gets away with its 5% across the board rate simply because there arnt that many people that live there. wouldnt work in a country of 60 million.
i have mentioned elsewhere that petitions are a waste of time. get yer pens and paper out and get writing letters. they cause departments to grind to a halt.
oh and if you think that voting for the tories will make things any better then you really are deluding yerself. Whover you vote for government wins! there will be no change in this or any other country , revolution? dont make me laugh.

Sorry Mark but petitions dont work, its proven.
Bear i didnt accuse the government over CG, its ken, the G`ment was another comment.
Voting for someone else will bring other problems but labour have totally flucked up.
Froog, cheers for"thats what ya get for living in London". Some of us were born here and love the place as much as you love scotland. You will get the same charges as we do its only a matter of time.
