Mike has been in an accident on his bike yesterday involving a car. I don't know all the particulars of the accident. I do know that he is in intensive care and might possibly lose his left leg. I know he was conscious at some point because he asked that Scott and I be contacted but we are not allowed to visit him just yet because we are not family. I'll keep you all posted...... Keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Connie

it appears life moves on.... albeit without some bits, but ya appear to be keeping yer spirits high and moving on with the cards ya been dealt..... heck thats's a lot more than most folks can do with all their bits bolted on! folks have climbed everest and achieved some awesome feats (pun intended) of human endurance. i recently attended a seminar where a local lunatic kenny herriot (http://www.kennyherriot.co.uk/) had a major off on his busa at 15mph on diesel spills , managed to wipe both of his pins out, 3 yrs later he's world champion material in long distance and sprint racing, got more nooky being thrown at him than he can shake a stick at and is feeling soooooo good about himself that he just makes ya grin. yer life has changed that's for sure, but no fecker is saying that change is a bad thing.

Thanks Jenny/ We got home safely, thank you. If anyone is going to visit and wants to take him anything, he is into banana milkshake and fruit juice at the moment. There is nothing on his ward for him to do, so anything to pass the time would be good. We talked about puzzle books of any kind and he thought about giving Sudoku a try. (I warned him that they can be addicting!) His ward has no tv or anything like so if anyone has a portal dvd player he can borrow, I am sure he would deeply appreciate it. Then we can take him copies of movies to watch. Scott is taking him a portal cd player on Monday, so any copies of cds would be good. He likes rock! Overall he was in very good spirits and was laughing and joking with us like Mike always does. We can't get there to see him tomorrow, but we will be back with him Monday evening. I hope some of you can make it up to see him soon. I know he would appreciate it. Take care, Connie

Someone has taken him a portable dvd player, but he would appreciate some copies of movies to watch for sure!

Great to hear your going in the right direction m8. We kept you in our thoughts over the weekend, (not on line at home yet so wasn't able to post). Keep your chin up m8, all the best! Mr and Mrs Outlaw

I just catching up, really pleased to hear you're out of that hospital bed and into the wheelchair. You'll be getting about in no time. I can only admire the bravery of you and your family & close friends. I may be a long road ahead, but sounds like you're well on your way. Very best wishes to you, Mike. Keep your chin up.
