Mike has been in an accident on his bike yesterday involving a car. I don't know all the particulars of the accident.
I do know that he is in intensive care and might possibly lose his left leg.
I know he was conscious at some point because he asked that Scott and I be contacted but we are not allowed to visit him just yet because we are not family.
I'll keep you all posted......
Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Mike's operation went well. Body temperature, blood pressure and heart rate have all returned to normal. Keep those get well soon thoughts coming!

It was above the knee. I have spoken to his mother tonight and his spirit is strong and he is determined to get well. Its been absolutely the best news I've had all week! He is still in some pain and discomfort and sleeps alot because of all the painkillers etc. but he is on the mend. They have even begun to give him exercises to do to build his upper body strength and hope to get him in a wheelchair tomorrow. He is still in high dependency but will welcome visitors one he is moved to a general ward. Thanks for everyone's thought and prayers. They seem to be working!
