Gotta have my 2p on the subject of the comment that Emily made.
Being mixed race I find it offensive when black ppl call other black that word, so for a caucasian person to say it is even more disgusting! Wot a load of b****x, it was a joke, yeah some joke luv.
The N word is derrogatroy term that was widely overused during the times of black slavery, and is the, IMO, the biggest insult you could give any black person.
I do not understand why ppl still call each other N***** even to this day, I mean you don't go around hearing Asian ppl calling each other P***.
Grrrrrrrrrrr I'm wound up now.

Yes they do, I have a lot of Asian friends and they call each other that all the time.
Maybe all the these rap records that have the word in should be banned, it is also racism to allow one race to say it but not another.

Ok I stand corrected Mark, I have Asian friends but have never heard em call each other that before.
I agree re: music, the kids think it's cool but don't understand the true meaning of it all. Just like it's cool to shoot ppl and get shot at, etc, etc.... anyway I digress, it's wrong and ppl use terms that they do not understand because they think it's cool/right/hear others saying it.
Whatever happened to people thinking for themself, rather than mimicing others.

Most of the coloureds or blacks (ffs what is the correct term, as they all use them) call each other nigger.
Seem`s it is wrong when a white person does.
Although this is funny it is wrong but a old woman neighbour (South African) called her black poodle "Kaffer" Hearing her shout "oi kaffer come here" was hilarious as it was in Hammersmith where i was born and there are a few black people about!

was reading the posts on the bb forum about this and the folk there would seem to be in favour (mostly) of emily being kicked out. there are some who claim that charley has refered to chanelle (i think) as white trash, now if that is true then she should also be removed as its an offensive label as well. but when all is said and done using words that are racially derogatory says more about you than the person its directed at. i personally believe that the N word is demeaning wether its used by whites or blacks it serves to lessen a person in the eyes of others.
apparently folk from pakistan call each other pa**'s but if they called an indian that there would be blood spilled, as india and pakistan are seperate countries that despise each other... tis all very strange really but folks are never happier than when they are insulting others about their race or religion or the way they dress or any amount of other trivial stuff.
Im all for the banning of rap music that has lyrics (if ya can call em lyrics) that are insulting ....actually just ban rap music full stop sick of stupid folk gloryifying wannabe gangsters just cos they apparently come from the "ghetto" ....as if! bunch of drug dealing tosspots most of em bragging about how many times they have been shot and in prison etc ... now we are supposed to admire them for getting out of the ghetto by using their "music" easy to forget where the money came for the recording time in studios to make demo's etc.
anyway i have digressed from the original subject of the daft bint in BB who claims that british people dont aspire highly enough in their education (this from someone who thinks indie is a new type of music and to call others n***** is acceptable) she is gone and is likely to be vilified in the press for a few days before some lowlife agent does a PR job on her and tries to get her some sort of carreer. it didnt harm that so called celeb's carreer (her that is shacked up with teddy sheringham .......dunno why he is famous either ) she is still getting the paparazi treatment despite her racist behaivior.and jade goodey is still in gossip rags and papers on a seemingly daily basis despite the outrage that those same rags came out with at the time.
ho hum another day in the BB house with charley milking this for all its worth ( she was bragging about being on page 2 of the dailys or maybe even the front page gleefully) and indeed she was right.
Wonder what the next outrage will be this year?

I did ask what is the right terminology. Yes i hate the word kids as you well know.
Knowing a few like yourself bubbs they hate to be called black, yet not coloured. Half cast is a no no i admit. With all this PC ***FILTERED WORD*** e its hard to get it right all the time.

i talked to a load of students today from bristol which is where this girl has come from and apparently the word in question is used alot in a friendly context, a bristol thing , i work with them and they appparently cause each other that name? so maybe not so incorrect as it might have appeared.
