How can anybody really answer this question honestly unless they are really riding gods. who can and have taken their bike to the limit knowing that they have and couldnt take it any further. Idont know the absoloute limit of my r6, but i know its bloody quick. the limits of my bike im not sure, my own limits......normally about 50% each day going to work, on a blat out up[to about 80% and on trackdays....well cadwell i was pushing about 100% my limit towards the end of my last day there..
The day i can take that bike to its limit and back knowingly, well if it happens i think ill be making a major career change!lol

i ride my bike within my ability, as to your question, no i don't think i ride it too its full capability...far from it, i prefer to learn how to ride smooth and get those bends right, id rather arrive in one piece than not at all. im not a goody goody, i do ride quicker than the speed limit says but i have neither the ability or the confidence to ride her to the full. im happy with that

I ride a sv650s '04 and in all truth up here where I live there is narry a spot where you can get some liter bike up to top end due to the pits and curves in the road, but my little sv is just perfect for here. tops out at 137 with a good wind behind ya. as far as keeping it low in the corners....I have hit some nice wide 180 bends at just under 70, guess I could go faster but the inevitable crack/hole in the pavement always makes me think twice. there be some places that have multipule switchbacks and the bike will scrape peg at around 60 on those....funny story I got. wife asked to get her moto license so I said I would go thru the course to kinda be support to her while she did it. I asked the course director if I would get points off for scraping a peg around the 90 and 135 degree turn....he told me go for it as long as I dont dump I'm ok. first time I ever scraped a peg doing under 35. made me get more interested in going slow but tighter in the corners that seeing how fast the bike will go.
