as some of u lot know i have a nearly 1 year old black lab....... he has now turned so distructive i darnt leave him alone for long... he has distroyed my french doors, photos, and now started on books, he is locked in the dining room where we remove anything he can get his big paws on, seems now he can take books off the small bookcase we have in the room. is there any one who has had a simialr prob and how did u cure it.....we are now getting desperate if he carries on im in the mind to re home him, not that i want to. we have ignored him we have shouted at him, nothing works, so any advice would be taken on board he has been 'done' which has calmed him a little but still bloody well distructive... oh anyone got any cheap french doors lol

oooops that was supposed to say never let your dog go into a house or building before you. ie you go in first ....every time and you leave first too.

the halti isnt really a muzzle but it resembles one. it dosnt stop him from opening his mouth etc, its just a really good way to stop the unruly behaviour of adolescent dogs. you will need to use it for about 6 months after which he will have grown out of the pulling (its a dominance thing).

Go out and buy a pup staffordshire bull terrier. That''ll stop him chewing everything. Only cause the staffy will get to all your stuff first. Mhawwwwwwww

the other thing is to put tabasco sauce where you dont want him to chew then put a tiny bit on his tongue. they wont go near anything that smells of tabasco ever again

or put the sauce on a bit of rag and wrap it on the place. we had to do this with the wiring in the back of the landrover.
