Right here we go ...
Think back to a momment in your life that involved bikes ...
Something kinda personal that means something to you ...
(obviously i wouldnt expect anything you would want to share with others)
It doesnt have to be extreme or beating Mr Jones next doors 0-25mph kinda stuff
Just meaningful things that in reality we can all kinda relate to because weve all experienced simply riding bikes ...

Highlight of my life...February 1998...beautiful Sunday morning in Cape town about 10 of us set off for a serious scratch, I'm on a brand new TL1000R (yello) so here we go. We get to one of the best mountain passes in the world called Lundudno pass and I'm in the lead. All of a sudden we are joined by 3 other riders. They pick their way through all of my mates and one of them passes me and suddenly I thought "That's it...I'm gonna teach these boys a thing or two"...we raced about 10-15 miles down this mountain, fastest I had ever been down there in my llife, but ended second.
Got to a coffee shop at the bottom and guess who our guests were...Frankie Chilli, Foggy and Lance Isaacs. Best ride of my life!!

almost every time I go out on my Harley, its just so magic that feeling of riding the bike of my dreams and hearing those pipes [vance and Hines] plus stage one.
Maybe a close second was the day a rode my brand new Kawasaki Z1 home way back in 1975 or the day I picked my 1968 Bonneville up [in 1968] or perhaps it was the first day I got to ride my NSU 49cc moped legally on the road for the first time on June 10th 1966.

the day of my test 17/12/2001
girlfriend at time lived in newbury while i lived in weston super mare to get between the 2 its a choice of a4 or m4 to m5
woke up in newbury at 8am had ti be in weston at 10am for das and test
took l plates off so i could fly down the m4 to m5
bout 3-4 junctions away from weston on the m5 a bike flew past me
looked over his shoulder and slowed down nodded his head and rode off
i got to das and noticed the same bike in the carpark turned out to be the instructor
he walked up to me and asked if it was me on the m5 that mornin
"er no i replyed i not passed my test yet" i replyed with a little smirk on my face
"dont worry" he replyed "you can do it legally later" then walked off laughing
needless to say i passed my test and i still chuckle bout it now

about 1982-(i had been a bike cop in Rochester,Kent since 1979 and had just passed my advanced test in 1981) I went to do a stop-check on a guy riding like a loony on the A2 in Rochester on a Kawasaki 900. He took off so I had my first Bike-on Bike chash. He tried everything inc off roading across the local town gardens- I was on a BMW something(as on my forum gallery)-Anyway it didnt last long-He put his hand up, pulled over after 10mins and about 5 miles up towards maidstone and gave himself up. Just nicked the bike-job done. In 7 years of being a bike cop-that was the only bike chash I had-nicking bikes wasnt so populer as it is now(had loads or bike/ car chases though-easy-peezy)

3yrs ago, had an R1 in dining room through winter n was buying new parts and fitting them while had bodywork n tank off givin her a clean - carbon bits, hugger, tail tidy, clear lenses..... etc. Ended up spending bout grand on her, worth every penny !! She looked awesome, shining better than if brand new ! One morning got the old YZF750 out which i use for work and realised needed petrol. I had some in a jerry can and suddenly thought what a good opportunity it would be to show the lads at work me R1 as they all were dying to see it after showing pictures of each progression as the bits went on ! Got a mile down the road / 800 yds away from work and a post office van decided to pull out in front of me when im literally yds away from him. My bike ended up sat in a cabin at work - written off for all to see until i was capable of walking again to take it away !! Not quite the state i wanted them to see it in ! Funniest thing looking back is that i stopped half way to work that morning to rub a bit of dry polish i had missed off the tank !!

Or there was the time back in 86 when i first put a bike on the road (legally) Suzuki AP 50 , i stripped off the pedals and turned the gear shift back to front so i could use the rear pegs, get more streamline you see, 55mph from a 50!!! Nice !
