Just wondering what motivates you? What your faults are? What stage are you at within your life? Which famous/popular figure inspires you (dead or alive)? And what you do for work? I know that this is a bit of an open question, but it will make you think. When I say what motivates you, I mean what makes you get off your arse and do things at work and at home. And when ask about the stage of your life, I don’t mean age, I mean mentally and physically what have you achieved to date, and what are your aspirations over the longer term (realistic) – you can use the link to help you understand this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow's_hierarchy_of_needs Me, I’m motivated by my own success, what I believe is right from wrong and living a good life with like-minded true people. My main fault is impatience that can be interpreted as aggression, however I can appear to be lazy if I feel that somebody is forcing me into a situation. Ideally I’d like to make the world a better place, realistically I understand that I cannot do this alone so my aspiration is to become a better person through self realisation and helping others to achieve their personal goals and discover themselves. I am at a stage that I would like to change my whole lifestyle, but know that it will take me a couple of years to get everything right. I’m back at Safety on the triangle and looking forward to moving up it again lol People like Richard Branson and Alan Sugar inspire me, but this does not mean that I would want to be them, they just fascinate me. And I work as an Account Manager in engineering recruitment and I’m taking on more senior responsibilities – hence these question lol Sorry it’s all got a bit deep pmsl But I’m interested to know what sort of people you all are….. not that I’m nosey lol

Interesting question bubbles and some interesting answers roebys last onbe totally honest I thought. I used to teach management assessment with BT and I used to use the Maslows Hierarchy of needs principles. They are preety sound and can be used and adapted to inviduals Circumstances. So make of it what u will I think though that Roeby you might not quite be at the bottom level LOL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow's_hierarchy_of_needs

It is not advisable, to venture unsolicited opinions, you should spare yourself the embarrassing discovery of their exact value to your listener. (Ayn Rand)

Thanks for the feedback Scully and Loads. All I will say is that those who know me, will know that I am not up my own arse, everybody has opinions and you are obviously as free with yours as I am mine. I merely post threads to start a conversation, which is something that has been lacking in here for quite some time (other than good mornings). I do not pretend to be intellectual, I am asking questions as I'm interested to hear peoples opinions and am free to give mine, obviously I expect others to give theirs too. I "personally" don't see anything wrong in becoming a better person through understanding others, but if you do then I respect your views. As you just said in your post, if you really don't like it that much simply don't reply. I'm not going to turn this thread into another slanging match because your opinions are your own, and mine are my own too. Hope that "justifies" me and my personality pmsl

I wasn't going to responed to your post scully but i'm afraid i can't keep my gob shut. First of all why do u feel the need to "stay on the right side of people in here" say what u think as this time u obviously have, altho i have to say i think it is very harsh. What was so wrong with this question that was asked? I thought it was a good one actually. The other thing is whether u like the things she posts or not at least she is posting and making an effort with this place, how much effort do u put in and how many threads or replys do u make scully? If u don't like the things that bubbles posts god knows what u think of the crap i put up. I'm not going to say if u don't like it don't post but what i will say is if u don't like what is posted post something of intrest to yourself instead. lets get down to the nitty gritty ......... this place has dropped off alot with one thing and another, there r not enough people making posts of any kind so for someone who hardly ever posts to attack a user that does is out of order. Now this place is hanging on by the skin of its teeth, Mark has wanted to close it down for the last year and its only cos i won't let him that its still here. My reason for keeping it open? well its for the good i know this place has done in the past and keeps doing for certain individuals so i do take offence scully when u post something like u did for no good bloody reason when u contribute jack shit yourself. Like i said its easy to fix if u don't like whats posted post more yourself, and for god sake don't do what i have seen so many times scully which is cos someone has a go at u for what u have said u go off in a huff, thats just silly stand your ground and fight your corner.

It's funny you know, just yesterday I was looking at all of my old PM's from when the forum first opened attracting people from the mcn sites and this forum (and chat room) had a great presence with people like Rolling Thunder, BigT, Scorps, Madd, Scunjee, Thumps, Si, Hells, Tricky, Rev, AnimalMother, etc, etc! But now because of the little arguments.... which normally turn into big ones, we have lost some of the best users. Most of these arguments were started by newer members who wind things up and then stand/sit back and watch the fun! It's such a shame that people are so messed up that they feel the need to cause "arguments" rather than "discussions". I think that we're all aware that people's personalities change as they find out who they really are, unfortunately there are some who become more fickle than others. I'd like things to go back to how they were at beginning of 2wheels, we can never go back to how things were so moving on is the only option, believe it or not this is positive..... but only if we make it positive but keeping peoples attention and posting threads that people respond to. In Scully and Loads' opinions I post crap, but at least I grabbed their attention and they got off their arse and posted something! pmsl

the former members were not driven out by (newbies),,some are banned as you well know. others refuse to come back because some are banned.nothing to do with newbies.it was a falling out of the (old school) nothing whatsoever to do with any new members.whats done is done, and life goes on..personally,i thought this was a good thread..and i contributed to it...so keep posting, and remember, those who post most, are the ones most likely to receive abuse....that always has been, and always will be the case...

Dont be forgetting that some users were driven away by things that should not have been posted on here, for alongtime, alot of things that werer put in that were lies, and maybe to vent who knows, Things that should have stayed private between two people, that were dragged onto here while being reworked and reworded to suit one individual, whilst only giving details to help them rather than the full facts...

Keep posting Bubbles I find your some of your threads interesting. Those I do I reply to or join the discussion those I dont I ignore after all thats what a forum is for. Better a silly subject then the outpouring of personal trouble and threads attacking individuals which I also ignore. If you read a thread and have a point of view post a comment if the thread is not for you or not interesting dont reply not rocket science is it ? Oh and btw bubbles the black sv1000 looks almost as good as my blue one used to LOL, but its a well known fact that blue ones go faster roflol :-)

just to make a point there r only 4 people banned from this site and out of the amount of memebers we have and have had i don't think thats bad going. if other people then want to show the solidarity to those by been on the missing list themselves than thats up to them. People r out there in the world dying is it really that important the coming and goings of some members from here?

Sorry didn't mean to turn this thread into a point the finger one, that truely isn't my intention. All I meant was that things were very different a while back and I miss speaking to some of them and reading their threads/replies. That doesn't mean that I am judging people on each situation. What's done is done, you can either forgive and forget or get caught up in your emotions, which in turn can make you bitter. Things happen for a reason so let's just move on.... for the better! So rather than beating around the bush let's all be honest, anyone who has made half a comment without conviction speak aloud. I think it's apparent that some people find it harder to move on than others, I'm just trying to help that process lol

Theres no need to apologise you were just posting one of the best threads ive seen in this forum for a long time. And i've had my fair share of abuse on here but to be honest the people that give the abuse are the pathetic ones. And to answer the question The thing that motivates me is avoiding getting in trouble or upseting people. I am also one who tries to look good infront of other people. I am at a stage of my life where i am just trying to get things sorted out, get things on the right track. I am also at a very angry stage of my life 'cos people annoy me far too easily, includin my brother (sab) I dont look up to many famous people because the majority of them were just at the right place at the right time and 9/10 of them are talentless. But i do look up to my drum teacher because he has managed to be successful in the "music world" whilst keeping a family.
