Why did you choose the bike that you currently own? There must be a reason.... c'mon guys spill the beans.
I chose mine because I wanted a happy medium of sportbike, the fact that it's greeeeeen had absolutely nothing to do with my choice..... honest!
It's been a trouper too, we've been through alot together (booohoooooooo), I really want a different bike now but funds are lacking so it looks as if the green meanie and I are gonna have another happy summer together :o)

The reason I wanted my new bandit was because i had an old 97 bandit with plenty of poke.It looked ageless and was powerful and theres a lot you can do with them, hope that answers that question

I chose a 12 bandit. I have had all shapes and sizes of bikes over the years and love this one more than any other.
Before the bandit i had a yamaha fzr 1000 genisis, what a bike, bloody great at most things, only problem was comfort, having busted both legs many years ago after an accident on an RD500, i cant ride sports bikes for more than 45 mins or so.
On a run home from a camping trip up north, i swapped my fzr for my mates bandit for the rest of the journey home... i didnt want to give him it back. That was it, i had to have one.
Bought a 1997 mk 1 bandit 12s the next summer, since then ive done a few odds and ends to it to make it more fun but still find it comffy and it will keep up with most other bikes, in fact there is nothin better than blowin away a sports bike on an old bandit, kinda satisfying lol.
I will never part with it, when it gets to a similar millage to bears xj i will just throw in some over size pistons and start again !!!
Want wheelies, torque, comfort, reliability, power and much cheapness???...buy a bandit !!!
