Mike has been in an accident on his bike yesterday involving a car. I don't know all the particulars of the accident.
I do know that he is in intensive care and might possibly lose his left leg.
I know he was conscious at some point because he asked that Scott and I be contacted but we are not allowed to visit him just yet because we are not family.
I'll keep you all posted......
Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Hiya,
I don't often visit this site (sorry!), but my love, hugs & best wishes go out to Mike for a full recovery, as some people say on the threads amazing things can be done for people who want to ride bikes, you can do anything when you put your mind to it.
A friend of mine who raced at the TT had a serious accident on a road bike while at the TT, the doctor at Nobles did a fantastic job of saving his leg, he can't bend his knee, but he still rides a bike & does track days. I went to a track weekend at Anglesey recently, a bloke was riding in the inters group with one arm (still has the arm, but muscle tone has gone, he had a bike accident), he normally rides in the Advanced group! Theres one even 2 blokes who race with missing arm/legs. Also there was a programme about disabled people trecking across a jungle, a bike racer had lost the lower part of his leg & still races (I'll try & get his name & details). A very inspring story in one of the bike mags, about a bloke who had a bike accident (caused by an idiot car driver) he lost his leg & still rides a bike, Ill try & find the article. So PLEASE STAY POSITIVE, you can do anything you want to!
On men & motors recently they had a programme about NABD, really inspiring stories. I was at the TT this year I met a rep from NABD, just talking to him at Ramsey hairpin (we were waiting in the q with loads of other bikers etc..for the road to be re-opened coz of an an accident) I noticed his NABD badge & his mate had one, so I had a chat with him about NABD, he was the Northern area rep (Liverpool I think) nice bloke, he had things done to his bike so he could ride (I believe he lost part/the whole of his leg-sorry if that's not correct!)
Anyway that post makes up for all the time I have not been on the site!
Lots of love & hugs to YOU - xxxxxxxxxx - STAY POSITIVE.
