I never thought a day would come that I would say this!
Dont know what it is but I seem to have lost my interest in motorcycling! Its maybe been used 3 times in the last 6 months(and once was to take it for mot!).
Just dont have the same passion for it.I prefer to watch a good bit of bike racing on the telly. What should I do,sell it?keep it?.How do I renew my interest?
I think it could be related to our crap weather over here.
Answers on a postcard please.

Indeed tiz a sad state of affairs.....
Maybe ya should sell it n get a motorcross or an enduro or something to potter around on n do a bit of off roading, ya know try a different type of biking? something different to what ya doin now, if ya truly have lost complete interest then i'm sorry to hear we've lost another soldier in the good fight, however i also wish you luck and content in whatever youre next passion in life is...........

I think alot of people hit this point, I did the year before last.
Is it the people that you're riding with, the road your riding on or the bike? It could even be that you've just become too sensible or a little unfit (Bubbles - hides)
Just ride it out hun, you will see the light at the end of the tunnel soon enough, whatever you do...... DO NOT SELL YOUR BIKE or at least until you know what the real issue is. There's nothing worst than being bikeless over summer
Good luck hun xx

How sad, but agree with bubbles, best sit it out until you know exactly why you have lost interest, could be you just need to ride some different roads!!

Ride it out. I had a similar problem, which I have only just conquered. Was caused by a bit of depression after a big accident. Never felt like riding on weekends (have to ride during the week cos its my only transport). It took a new bike to renew my enthusiasm for biking, now i'm really pumped to go out on rides as much as possible.
Hang in there, I'm sure you'll come to your senses.. lol
But seriously, if its in your blood, it'll come out again, once whatever is drowning it goes away.

I'm sure once the nice weather comes u will want to be out, i know when we were out at the weekend every bike i saw i was like "oh actually i wish i had come out on the bike instead of the car"

It is hard, I went through this a couple of years ago and everybody was saying do this do that but advice isn't always that easy to put into practice. You'll find the passion again soon, you just need to do something different and go out with new people :o)
Good luck hun

Well,at this time,im not going to make a rash decision and sell out.Its all bought and paid for,tax and insurance is cheap.Even if I decided just to put it into storage for a few years,it will always be there if I need it.Latley,I have just havent been as passionate about it.A few other factors contributing could be the fact I shall be a father in the next few months and I also seem to be binge drinking a lot latley which means, Im normally hungover on saturdays and sundays.
Dont forget crap Northern Irish weather!
Perhaps when our road racing season kicks off at the end of the month,I'l see things in a different light as I always enjoy going to the races on the bike.
I dont think my little spill a few weeks ago helped much either.

Is it maybe the thought that ...
Next year you'll be adding a sidecar for the little-un!
Get out on it now before the sidecar is added my lad!

There defo be no side cars added! lol
I will probably keep it alright but maybe in storage for the next few years.
Maybe when the nipper is a bit older,Il have a wee matey to go to races/shows with which shall renew my interest in bikes.I think another reason is I am just riding the same roads all the time with little to no variation. We are kind of limited in N.I to the amount of roads we can use as you can go anywhere from my location(central) in an hour.
Perhaps a new bike would help as I am a more a sport rider.Im not one for cruising round at 50 all day.its normally in to 3 figures.Glad we got no speed cams here.
Always fancied a good quick 2 stroker.

Ahhhh that'll be it then, the wee nipper coming along!
It makes you think twice about what you're doing and how safe you're being.
Good luck and hope you get back on 2 wheels again soon x

ah yes..... married, a kid comes along and before you know it your old. the wife wants you to buy a car [if you dont already have one] sell the bike because they are dangerous and then your visiting other poor sods in the same boat, sat there while the wives are talking about 'babies' and 'clothes' and other crap..... your taking the in-laws out to go to 'the seaside' and then they are visiting you and telling you you need a bigger house and ........................... then you die.
thank fuck I never got married.
I'm nearly 57, single and ride a big Harley wherever and whenever I want to. I could buy a sport bike I s'pose but really the idea of speeding everywhere is so pointless, been there done that got the t shirt.

Dont sell the bike, stick it in the garage shed whatever, its in yer blood, i made that mistake some years ago its hard to return from scratch, then u do and regret what u missed.
