Go to the doctor and ask him to sign you off sick for two weeks, you may have to pay him but it'll be worth not having the stress for two weeks. Even if you have to back to everything you've left, you'll have a clearer head to deal with it hun. I know this from personal experience, it really helps you focus when you go back. Good luck x

kinda know how you feel, would be nice if home was stress free, get a dog and take it for a long walk in the woods, that seems to be my escape in life lately,

at the end of the day if the job is making you ill, is it rea;lly worth it? have a couple of weeks off to chill out and get your head straight, and during this time have a look about to see what other jobs are about.

Hell I hear you hun. I'm a new teacher - lots to learn, lots to mark, lots of assignment work to complete, no time to do it! Standing up in front of all those students all those times a week. It's enough to kill ya. A good friend who started with me is on the verge of a nervous breakdown and it's heartbreaking - she's such a good teacher. thing that keeps me going - it's just a job, nobody will die if i do something wrong or don't complete it on time.

wow thanks folks , its nice to hear a few freindly words from you guys thanks. I wish i could take a sicky or go and hide for a while but im self employed and if i dont go in to work nothin would get done. I shouldnt be gettin so worked up about it but with so many things to fit into one day its just stupid!!! Plus cash flow is a joke and havin a few of the work force thinkin they can get away with murder cause theve been there for years, lazy bstrds !!! I want to sell up and start somethin new but the building trade is all i know and its bullsht!! nothin else for it ive just got to get on with it, but will try and keep my spirits up and my head down. Thanks again and from your words of wisdom i will ride my bike this weekend, listen to some whale music, go for a walk in the woods (without a dog) play computer games get drunk and go and see the doctor, mabye in that order too. thanks.

following up on what bubbs says. I was self employed for a few years, the work was fine but cashflow is the stressful bit for me. I bit the bullit and got a job, was made redundant two years later got another, better job within weeks now have a wage and do a bit of freelance, best of both worlds I think. so you might think you're in a rut but your not. go on s1jobs etc, you dont know whats out there until you look.
